How does a club get accreditation?

There are 4 steps on the way to becoming an accredited club.

1. Registration:

All clubs wishing to work towards Clubmark NI accreditation can register their interest with the Development Officer.

2. Information and Guidance:

We will then get in touch to arrange an information session with your club to help you establish what your club needs to do to gain accreditation and to help get your club started.

3. Club Development:

Based on your club’s Clubmark NI action plan (which we will develop with you) your club can work towards putting in place to policies, practices and procedures that will enable you club to become accredited.

4. Accreditation:

When your club is ready they will be able to submit a portfolio of evidence to Basketball NI for assessment against the defined criteria. Upon successful assessment of the portfolio, a club visit will be arranged for an assessor to see your club in action. If successful at this point your club will be awarded Clubmark NI accreditation. To ensure information is up to date each accredited club submits information for an annual health-check and submit their evidence for reaccreditation every three years.
